Total volume of investment to real estate in CR during the second quarter of 2011 was slightly above 180 million euros (4.3 billion CZK) compared to 145 million in 2010. This amount indicates an increase 25% year over year. The total investment in the first half year is about 650 million euros. At the beginning of the year specialists of Jones Lang LaSalle predicted that investment volume in 2011 will reach one billion, but now it’s seen that the volume of investments into the Czech real estate for the full year 2011 will reach 1.5 billion euros.

In 2 quarter, there was two large transactions in the retail sector. Specifically, it was the acquisition of CPI, which bought the shopping center Olympia in Mlada Boleslav and Teplice and Family Centre in regional cities. There was also a sale of a shopping center Olympia in Brno, which bought a joint venture ECE/Rockspring. Owners have changed as well as at two office buildings in Prague, Pfizer and Palace Angel.
